PresidentialTermScorecard.com is operated by The Bateau Group, LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”).

What we collect

Anonymous session data (collected automatically). When you use the site, we create an anonymous account for your browser via our authentication provider (Supabase) — a real but anonymous account with no name, email, or other personal information attached. Your session is maintained via a browser cookie; we also cache your metric weights, direction settings, and setup-completion state in your browser’s local storage so the page loads instantly on return visits. We use this to:

• Save your metric weights and direction settings between visits, and sync them to your account
• Understand aggregate usage patterns (e.g., which metrics users weight most heavily)

Account data (collected only if you choose to sign in). If you choose to sign in, we collect your email address only. We use it to:

• Send you a magic link to sign in (passwordless — no password is stored)
• Associate your saved scorecard settings with your account across devices

We do not collect your name, phone number, payment information, or any government-issued identification.

What we do not do

• We do not sell your personal data to any third party, ever
• We do not use your data for advertising targeting
• We do not build individual behavioral profiles
• We do not share your individual settings or email with data brokers, political campaigns, pollsters, or any other commercial third party

Aggregate data

We may publish or license aggregated, anonymized insights about how users as a group weight different metrics (e.g., “the average user weight on the National Debt metric is 4.2”). This data cannot be used to identify any individual user.

Cookies and local storage

We use a browser cookie (via our authentication provider, Supabase) to maintain your anonymous or signed-in session, and browser local storage to cache your scorecard preferences for instant page loads. We use Supabase, hosted in the US East (Ohio) region, for database and authentication services.

Cloudflare Turnstile

This site uses Cloudflare Turnstile, a privacy-first bot detection service, to protect forms and sign-in flows from automated abuse. Turnstile operates in invisible mode on this site, meaning no CAPTCHA challenge is visible to you. As required by Cloudflare, we disclose that Turnstile processes certain browser signals — including your IP address, user agent, TLS fingerprint, and browser interaction patterns — to verify that you are a human visitor. This processing is performed by Cloudflare, Inc. as a data processor on our behalf, solely for bot detection and security purposes. No advertising cookie is set and no behavioral profile is built by Turnstile. Data retention

• Anonymous session data: retained until you clear your browser’s cookies and local storage, or until you delete your account if you create one
• Account email: retained until you request deletion
• Aggregate anonymized usage data: may be retained indefinitely as it cannot be linked to any individual

Your rights

You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at legal@presidentialtermscorecard.com. Deleting your account removes your saved profile and email from our systems. Anonymized aggregate data that cannot be tied back to you may be retained.

California residents (CCPA)

California residents may request to know what personal information we have collected, request deletion, and opt out of any sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information. To exercise your rights, contact us at legal@presidentialtermscorecard.com.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated effective date. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
